Stefania Montagna began his passion for yoga at the age of twelve, after buying a small teacher book Indian Indra Devi, entitled “Yoga in six weeks.” She had been attracted to the inverted position headstands and wanted to win his extreme genetic physical rigidity to deserve the dance classes that had been denied by the mother. For six years he practiced independently, following the teachings of BKS Iyengar. Come of age, he followed the teachings of Franca Sacchi, Andre Van Lysebeth and Willy Van Lysebeth. After his university studies, at the request of two groups of people, he began teaching yoga in the province of Rovigo and Verona.
Later, he developed the practice of “Yoga in the water” and wrote the book entitled: “Matsyoga: yoga in water”, ed. Circle of the Moon, with a foreword by Willy Van Lysebeth. Then after a period of teaching in kindergartens, wrote the book: “Yogabimbi”, ed. Circle of the Moon.
He started practicing Ashtanga in April 2007 in Islamorada, Florida, had gone for an internship with Sri K. Pattabhi Jois.
The passion for the practice of Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga, led her to follow the teachings of Lino Miele, Sri Manju P. Jois, David Williams, Kino MacGregor and do a training for teachers with David Swenson.
In 2011, he received his diploma at ‘Ashtanga Yoga Research Institute for the teaching of’ Ashtanga yoga, with its primary teacher Lino Miele.
